This moist chocolate chip banana bread is one of my all-time favorite recipes. It helps me use up any bananas that have seen better days, and it’s also something I’ll eat for breakfast, dessert, or just a quick snack in the middle of the day! If I’m feeling extra indulgent, I’ll top it off with some salted butter and worry about the calories later.

There are also so many substitutions you can do with this bread. Check out my berry banana bread post here!

Notes

Chocolate not your thing? Swap the chocolate chips for even amounts of fresh berries! Blueberry banana bread is my all-time favorite substitution for this recipe, but a mixed berry bread is also quite delicious! Or, add in a teaspoon of cinnamon and replace the chocolate chips with fresh apples.

You may need to alter your bake time depending on your oven; when I moved into my house and started using a gas oven for the first time, I had to re-work all of my recipes! Don’t get discouraged.
